Ordering & Payments

Equesta accepts both EFT (electronic funds transfer) and online credit card payments. A fully functional shopping cart makes ordering easy. Please quote the order number when making an EFT payment as reference. CASH DEPOSITS ARE NOT ACCEPTED


Order Returns

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase of anything on our website, simply return the item within 14 days of receipt and we will gladly refund you provided the items are returned in the condition they were received, unused and in its original packaging. Any PostNet, SAPO or courier charges are non-refundable unless the items was received in a faulty condition. Should this occur, please email as special arrangements will then be made. Equesta recommends that a traceable courier/delivery method should be used when returning all items to ensure the returned items reach our offices as Equesta cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss caused to any returned item whilst in the postal system.




All items prices are displayed on the website and charged in South African ZAR.

Equesta is not currently registered for VAT and as such all prices do not display VAT.


Use and Return of Second Hand Bits


Should the pre-owned bit you purchased from Equesta not be suitable to your horse or pony we will gladly purchase it from you subject to a small usage fee of 25% of the original purchase price.

It is  however the purchasers responsibility to ensure the pre-owned bit is sent back to Equesta in a good condition. Please be sure to remove all food dirt, grass and general stains and maintain general hygiene before returning.

Rubber, Plastic or Nathe bits are not however refundable.

Please email us first should you wish to return a pre-owned bit or if you have a pre-owned bit which you would like to sell as we are always on the hunt for good quality pre-owned bits – Not rubber or plastic varieties.

It is recommend that customers wash all pre-owned (second hand horse bits) thoroughly to ensure they are free from any bacteria or germs as Equesta cannot be held responsible for any medical conditions including but not limited to diseases, infections or sores that occur after the use of one of the bits supplied by Equesta.

Delivery is charged in South African ZAR based on PostNet, SAPO and courier rates and is based on the weight of the order.

The following shipping methods are available:

SA Post office – No Insurance       Delivery time: Usually 7-10 working days                               R 50.00

PostNet – Counter to Counter       Delivery time: 3 – 4 Working days                                           R130.00

For PostNet, Counter to Count orders, please allow 1 extra delivery day for outlying areas     

Please take note, all orders are shipped once weekly.
